This is a great boot for light riding or supporting a hoof in barefoot transition. It is greatly improved over its predecessor. This is our boot of choice for therapy (unless you are dealing with an acute laminitic, then check out the RX boot). With a tough protective shield and padded neoprene band, it opens up completely to slip on and off over a variety of hoof shapes and sizes.
The Trail boot allows for comfort pads to be worn and the horse can be turned out in these boots for some time (make sure you clean regularly and sanistise them).
Not suitable for horses with wider than long hooves. Not intended for long distance or endurance riding (usually over 40km per week). We don't recommend this boot if you ride in hills, rather use the Old Mac's G2 instead.
