This Seminar builds on the Foundation Seminar, which is also a pre-requiste to this seminar. You will get more in-depth knowledge about

• Anatomy of the foot
• Blood flow in the hoof
• common hoof problems and what causes it: e.g. Thrush, cracks, underrun heels, etc.
• Conformational Problems vs. Compensation Stance

The Practical Part we will consist of cadaver hoof trimming and demo trims on life horses. It may be possible for participants to bring their own horses to look at. Please check at time of registration if you are interested in this.

Please note, it is not realistic to learn barefoot hoof care in a couple of days and then apply it to a horse - which potentially does not have healthy feet at this point in time. We recommend to contact a professional to be guided, or consider our more in-depth courses.
